Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Fitter to be placed in Zibulo NS Decline, Development, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Foreman. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.Job descriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specification
• Engineering equipment is maintained and repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
• Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
• Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
• Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives

Minimum requirementsSuitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
• Section 26 Fitter Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board)
• Trade Certificate through a registered body, e.g.:(i) Olifantsfontein, pre 1994

(ii) ESTC (Engineering Skills Training Centre) James Park
(iii) GFA (Goldfields Training Academy)

• Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
• Valid First aid Certificate and valid Code EB driver's license
• Analytical with attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and fault-finding from drawings
• Hazard identification, planning and organising skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• 5 years of mining industry experience (underground and surface)
• 5 years of trade experience as a Fitter with TMM Experience.
• Basic knowledge of Sandvik LHD, Dump tracks and Drill rigs. [preferred
