Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Fitter to be placed in IvanPlats Platreef Mine, Mokopane, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.Job descriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:xc2xb7 Winding plant maintenance according to agreed procedures, standards and regulationsxc2xb7 Headgear and shaft equipment maintenance according to agreed procedures, standards and regulationsxc2xb7 Maintenance of pumps and fans according to agreed procedures, standards and regulationsxc2xb7 Carry legal responsibilities as an Artisan (Fitter)xc2xb7 Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiativesxc2xb7 Effective stakeholder engagementxc2xb7 Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards, procedures and schedulesxc2xb7 Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocolsxc2xb7 Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairsxc2xb7 Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiativesMinimum requirementsSuitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:xc2xb7 Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)xc2xb7 Section 26 Fitter Trade Certificate / MIETTB (mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board) Trade Certificate through a registered body e.g.: Olifantsfontein pre 1994, ESTC & GFAxc2xb7 Sound verbal and written communication skills in Englishxc2xb7 Valid Code EB driver's license Validxc2xb7 Medical Certificate of Fitnessxc2xb7 Medically fit to work underground Heat tolerance
