  • Conduct asset manager research and selection to ensure that we have the best fund managers overseeing a given mandate
  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to make investment recommendations and strategic decisions
  • Evaluate performance of fund/investment through regular review
  • Investment portfolio analysis and understanding
  • Conduct and compile industry, asset class, market and security research
  • Identify and interpret relevant information using logic to seek cause and effect relationships
  • Express ideas or facts clearly in written documentation so that the content is understood by the recipient
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal presentations or meetings
  • Interact with internal and external clients to assess needs and provide solutions
  • Provide feedback and presentations to stakeholders
  • Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
  • Develop software proficiency to deliver required outputs
  • Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (i.e. Responsible Investment Strategy)
  • Develop sound product and industry knowledge
  • Product development to provide the most appropriate range of products to clients
  • Assess the impact of regulation on the business and implementing required changes
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management and L&D team
  • Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred QualificationCompleted or working toward one of:
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) / Masters of Business Administration (MBA) /M.Com (Finance specialisation).Essential CertificationsPreferred CertificationsMinimum Experience Level2 years in a similar invironment.Technical / Professional Knowledge
