Asset Management Officer

Job Description


Job purpose:The Asset Officer plays a key supporting role in ensuring fixed assets owned, leased or rented by the Organization are maintained at a high standard. To manage assets linked to a Global Fund TB Programme, the incumbent will maintain an accurate inventory to track assets. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the asset management and the associated administrative processes. The position will collaborate closely with the procurement officers to ensure that assets are logged accurately.Job related requirements.

  • Sound knowledge Assets control and Management
  • Bar coding manage system and reporting
  • Knowledge and experience of Department of Health (DOH) Asset Management Systems especially on Global Fund Grant
  • Proven technical report writing and presentation skills
  • Coordinate, log, and storage of assets
  • Ensure distribution of assets with tracking, delivery, and acknowledgement of asset transfer
  • Coordinate and collaborate asset purchase orders with procurement and finance team
Qualifications
  • A National Diploma in accounting or business-related field with accounting as a major or equivalent qualification; or two years related working experience on Global Fund doing asset / fleet management
  • Two years related working experience on Global Fund doing asset / fleet management
Advantage
  • Project management facilities management, logistics/supply chain, building systems, property administration or related fields certification.
Other inherent requirements
  • Ability to prepare Audit Documents
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high-profile, highly pressured environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A valid South African Drivers License
  • Computer literacy with ability to work on different Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
