We are present on four continents and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway.Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for an Asset Manager in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future. As our Asset Manager you will support the team in the daily management of all commercial, contractual, regulatory and reporting obligations of a portfolio of Scatec Solar (PV) power plants. The Asset Manager will take the lead in monitoring and execution of all commercial and administrative tasks, commitments, responsibilities, and undertakings belonging to each Project Company. Support the VP and the different Scatec Solar Business Units throughout the projects phases of construction and operations. Involvement in projects during the development stage to financial close to ensure the projects ownership make financial sense and do not contain onerous provisions which may hamper implementation.Main responsibilitiesProject Company Asset Management: General Management and ultimate responsibility and accountability for SPV management from Financial close to end of project lifeDrive financial and operational performance and be responsible for driving profits - refinancing / plant performance improvements / opex optimisationsEnsure that the power plants are delivering expected financial returnsForecasting and budgetingAnalyse system efficiencies and identify opportunities for improved performanceUpdate the Financial Models as and when required by the Financing AgreementsFinancial Management and Accounting:Administer all project financing agreementsUpdate the Financial Models as and when required by the Financing AgreementsStakeholder Engagement - Board and shareholders, Lenders, landlords, IPPO, DMRE, etcCorporate Governance and Contract Management: Administer and ensure compliance for all project contracts and agreements between the SPV and third partiesSocio economic and development obligationQualifications and competenciesCA(SA) or equivalent qualification OREngineering qualification with good financial acumen which can be evidenced by: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent Proficiency in understanding and budgeting cashflowsProficiency in understanding financial modelling and analysisProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProject Finance (structuring, deal monitoring or courses)Financial modelling certificationProject Finance (structuring, deal monitoring or courses) and Project management5 to 7 years of working experience within the areas of finance management, project-related asset management, project finance-related banking or advisory, corporate finance or controlling, accounting or auditingKnowledge of utility-scale renewable energy projectsPrevious Asset management experience in the renewable energy sectorPersonal characteristicsIt is part of every employees terms of reference to contribute to Scatec's vision: Improving our Future and adhere to our company values which are:Predictable: demonstrate clear communication and listening skills, shares information in an open and honest wayDriving results: demonstrate determination, pro-activeness, can prioritise and work independentlyChangemaker: demonstrate entrepreneurship, can challenge, fast learner, take initiates and adjustWorking together: demonstrate teamwork, shares responsibilities, can compromise, has a can-do attitudeFor the particular role we also expectStrong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a global company at all levelsExcellent project management, communication and team skillsDetail-oriented and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneouslyEnsure synergies and team efficiencies across the entire F&AM portfolioHigh social and intercultural competenceStrong desire to advance the adoption of renewable energies in the global energy mixAdditional information:Should be available and accustomed to travel both domestically and internationally to 3rd world countriesMust be able to work in an open plan environmentMust be able to work extended hours when requiredWe offerScatec is an exciting, innovative and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
