Assistant Accounting Manager

Our client in the Financial Services industry is currently looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager, in Kimberley, Northern Cape.Responsibilities:

Take overall responsibility for client portfolio.
Managing a team and ensuring that each team member performs to the best of their ability.
Support and coach team members to develop themselves on a personal and technical level in a mentor capacity.
Interrogating current practices and proposing enhancements to improve efficiencies with a specific focus on technology.
Compilation of financial statements.
Proposing appropriate accounting treatments in line with applicable financial reporting standards.
Take responsibility of monthly financial accounting services.
Provisional and income tax calculations.
Reconciliation and submission of input/output VAT.
Detail review on work performed by team members.
Ability to identify errors and propose appropriate remedies.
Analysis of business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenditure.
Adhering to deadlines in a timeous manner.

Requirements:xe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bxe2x80x8b

Eligible to register as a Chartered Accountant (SA) or already registered.
Registered Professional Accountant (SA) and at least 2-yearsxe2x80x99 relevant, post article experience or B.Com Degree and/or equivalent Accounting Degree, completed SAIPA or SAICA articles and at least 5-yearsxe2x80x99 relevant, post article experience.
Xero, CaseWare, SARS E-Filing systems experience.
