Assistant Bookkeeper (JB4055)

R20 000 - R25 000 CTC per month

Experienced Assistant Bookkeeper required.
This role not only allows you to demonstrate your bookkeeping and payroll expertise but also offers a clear path for career growth into the Senior Bookkeeper position.

Minimum Requirements:
Completed finance-related degree or diploma.
3 or more years of Bookkeeping experience, preferably within a retail services environment.
Sage Accounting and Payroll experience.
Experience in dealing with BCEA regulations pertaining to payroll.
Thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure legal compliance.
Develop and follow a clear chart of accounts and effective bookkeeping policies.
Implement systems for precise financial tracking and reconciliation.
Prepare accurate trial balances and generate comprehensive financial reports.
Oversee employee contracts, retention, and hiring.
Track work hours, sales, and payments, including cash drawer entries.
Use financial management software and custom coding for record-keeping.
Manage staff commission structure and handle payroll functions accurately.
Analyze reports and set up/maintain retail and service targets.
