The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to develop and manage the Immovable Asset Register (IAR) and execute related ownership/ custodian functions including the preparation of Strategic Immovable Asset Managemen Plans.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Built environment/Business; A minimum of 3 years experience of Immovable Asset Management and IAR-related; A valid Driving License.
RecommendationProject management experience in an Immovable Asset Management environment; U-AMP and C-AMP experience will be an advantage.Key Performance AreasManage and execute the achievement; Undertake and oversee information management (collect, analyze,process and report on information) related to the U-AMPs and compilation of the C-AMP including coordinating strategic inputs; Report on Immovable Asset; Develop and monitor policies SOPs pertaining to the Immovable Asset Register; Research and determine ownership of problematic cases, such as un-surveyed and unregistered properties; Managing complience aspects related to relevant legislation governinng immovable assets; Office administration, budget planning and management; adherence to financial, SCM and human resource administration prescipts and reporting on all aspects of work.
CompetenciesKnowledge of the following: Government Immovable Asset Management; Western Cape Land administration Act; Relationship and Customer management; Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Problem-solving and Decision-making.
