Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Public Administration; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
RecommendationA valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance AreasTo strengthen the internal capacity of municipalities to deliver on their constitutional mandate; To manage and coordinate municipal support interventions; Monitor and evaluate all projects; Gather all relevant information related to municipal performance and compliance.
CompetenciesKnowledge of the following: Knowledge of public sector finance; Financial legislation in the public sector; Applicable financial management systems; Monitoring and reporting procedures; Statistical packages; Municipal finances; Project management. Skills needed: Proven Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc); Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Communication skills (written and verbal).
RemunerationR 444 036 per annum (Salary level 9)Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded interms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
