Assistant Financial Manager

Our well established client within the logistics sector is looking to appoint a dynamic Assistant Financial Manager for their branch in Barkly-West.

Overseeing financial recording processes and preparation of monthly financial information up to trial balance
Responsible for month-end and ad hoc journal entries and general ledger management
Reconciliation of intercompany loans and transactions
Overseeing month-end procedures and driving deadlines
Reviewing creditors reconciliations and processes
Ensuring timeous reconciliations of control accounts
Assist with the management of debtor recoveries and help with overseeing of debtors function
Responsible for recordkeeping of assets and capturing monthly depreciation journals
Assist with management of inventory and responsible to oversee quarterly counts
Completion and submission of statutory reports such as VAT and PAYE
Assist with maintaining and improving all areas of internal control to ensure adequate risk management
Assist the financial manager with compilation of annual budgets
Assist with the preparation of yearly financial packs for the auditors
Assist with the development of accounting systems and report writers to ensure accurate reporting
Assisting the financial manager other tasks as may be needed or deemed fit after appointment
Requirements:
BCom degree (Not required)
At least 5 years of work experience
Excel advanced skills
