Job Description


Job Overview:
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, staff management, and guest satisfaction. The AGM serves as acting GM in the General Manager's absence.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the GM in daily operations and administrative tasks
  • Supervise front-of-house staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Assist with financial management, including cash handling and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations
  • Implement and maintain company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Customer service excellence
  • Food safety certification and alcohol service licensing
  • Proficiency with restaurant POS systems and scheduling software
