As an Accountant, you''ll leverage existing systems and procedures to provide essential financial insights and support.Requirements and qualification:

• Possess a relevant Accounting qualification (preferably degree or diploma).
• Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Exhibit strong financial acumen.
• Advanced proficiency in Pastel and Excel.

• Execute various accounting transactions and general accounting duties.
• Handle bank statements, supplier invoices, salary journals, and accrual journals proficiently.
• Manage all company payments, transfers, and creditor codes effectively.
• Conduct thorough verification of creditors, payments, and bank details.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and cost claims processing.
• Compile and distribute monthly statements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Process relevant invoices and journals monthly, including depreciation, inter-company billing, and recoveries.
• Handle processing of reversals and re-allocations accurately.
• Update and maintain the monthly fixed asset register diligently.
• Ensure organisational compliance with statutory legislation.
• Prepare and submit PAYE, VAT, and other statutory returns promptly.
• Proactively assist in the external audit process by compiling an audit file efficiently.
