Assistant Mill Manager - Richards BayFull job descriptionTWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Assistant Mill Manager within the Timber Division at Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.Responsibilities and DutiesOrganising and managing day-to-day activities for plant operationsManage a team in achieving daily production goalsCoordinate with the Mill Manager and Maintenance Manager in resolving plant issues in a timely mannerProvide training and guidance to workers to meet performance standardsDetermine resource requirements, work allocation and production deadlines to achieve production objectivesMaintain proper documentation for all plant related activitiesEnsure materials, supplies and equipment are readily and continuously available for workers to carry out production processImplement cost reduction initiatives to minimize plant and labour expendituresOptimize plant operations to meet quality and production standardsMaintain a clean, safe and organized work environment for workersEnsure plant compliance with company policies and government regulationsSchedule routine inspection and maintenance of plant equipment to prevent machine downtimeCo-ordinate and assist in export activities, liaising with port and all other stakeholdersCo-ordinate export team during export activitiesQualifications and SkillsMatric / Grade 12A degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing or a related fieldPrevious experience in a production environmentComputer literacy in MS Excel and Word at a high levelStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of production workersExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentTraceable referencesThe company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion.
