Duties and responsibilities:
  • Distribute and coordinate ethics reviews.
  • Provide timeous communication to researchers on the outcome of ethics committee reviews.
  • Assist with completion of online ethics application forms.
  • Provide training and workshops to Research Ethics Committees.
  • Provide support in the development of ethics application forms.
  • Capture and maintain minutes of Animal Research Ethics Committee (AREC).
  • Send reminders to researchers to ensure response to AREC outcomes within the allocated time.
  • Withdraw late or non-responsive applicants.
  • Coordinate ethics committee meeting agenda.
  • Update weekly of research outputs dashboard.
  • Provide ethics applications and ethics principles guidance to various stakeholders.
Inherent requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or a B. Tech degree on NQF Level 7.
Recommendations:
  • Knowledge of Research Information Management System.
  • 6 - 12 months administrative experience.

The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R 218,298.69 - R 365,979.80 per annum, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.Fringe benefits:
