Duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the design, development, delivery, and management of funding applications.
  • Assist with completion of online funding application forms.
  • Create, maintain, and enter information into RIMS database.
  • Coordinate the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences ethics applications.
  • Provide training and workshops for all Faculty Research Committees (Ethics training and funding applications).
  • Develop and maintain the grants and contracts module.
  • Test and troubleshoot the system, especially after upgrades.
  • Provide support to the development of user manuals and related SOP's.
  • Provide access to funding applications and Human Resources Ethics modules.
  • Ensure efficient reviews of ethics applications; ensure applications are processed timeously to avoid applications missing the agenda deadline.
  • Provide accurate reporting as required by Senior director to inform strategic decisions.
Inherent requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or a B. Tech degree on NQF Level 7.
Recommendations:
  • Knowledge of Research Information Management Systems.
  • 6 - 12 months administrative experience.

The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R 218,298.69 - R 365,979.80 per annum, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.Fringe benefits:
