Job Description


This roles core function to manage the inbound supply chain, focusing on demand planning, generating, placing, and costing orders, monitoring and managing stock levels, first pick ratios, container flow, and meeting purchasing targets as set by Principals and stakeholders. The role also involves the analysis of supply chain data to optimize procurement strategies, ensure efficient inventory management, and maintain supplier relationships to meet operational and business objectives.
Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Optimize inventory management by establishing and enhancing procurement processes to align with demand, availability, and cost objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with the companys strategic goals and safeguarding organisational interests.
  • Place purchase orders and manage order expediting processes to ensure timely fulfilment.
  • Review and evaluate supplier price proposals, negotiating terms to secure competitive pricing and favourable agreements.
  • Prepare and submit Air/Local orders to the principal, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Strategically reduce airfreight costs through efficient planning and negotiation.
  • Oversee and manage shipment lead times to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with the dealer network to address back orders and ensure effective communication and resolution.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports in accordance with established policies and timelines.
  • Provide administrative support across all procurement functions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Accurately calculate and monitor the costing of both air and sea shipments.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Clearing Agent to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery.
  • Sea Freight vs. Air Freight: Maintain the appropriate balance between sea and air freight to ensure cost effectiveness and timely delivery, while adhering to lead times from key supply regions (Korea, India, Slovakia, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelors degree and Advanced Diploma with NFQ level 7 in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar environment, of which at least 1 - 3 years' supervisory / team lead experience
  • Extensive experience dealing with international suppliers and service providers, particularly in managing inbound supply chains and container logistics.
  • Proven track record in optimizing demand planning processes and achieving supply chain targets
