DescriptionRPO Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Production Manager to join our client's reputable food production company based in Durban. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring production leader to gain hands-on experience in managing production operations within the food industry.As the Assistant Production Manager, you will support the Production Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the production line, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include assisting with production planning, monitoring adherence to food safety and quality standards, managing team performance, and implementing process improvements.You will work closely with various departments to ensure optimal resource utilization and help drive continuous improvement initiatives, making a meaningful impact on production efficiency and product quality.Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food production industry or a similar role
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control protocols
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• A relevant diploma or degree in Food Science, Production Management, or a related field is preferred
