Position Type Non-ManagementPOSITION SUMMARYAdvise employees on general property information, in-house groups, policy changes, or other pertinent information. Answer questions about available services, general property information and amenities. Confirm guest first and last name and type of treatment scheduled prior to beginning treatment. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. Advise providers of last-minute changes or additions to schedule and resolve scheduling situations as needed. Promote and sell spa/salon services and retail products. Complete requisitions for additional products, supplies, or equipment. Inspect work areas and tools/equipment to ensure conformance to company standards. Notify Engineering of spa/salon maintenance and repair needs.Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; develop and implement quality improvement or corrective action plans. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.Required Qualification & Experience:A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or head therapist roleA minimum of 2 years' therapist experience in a 5-star spa environmentA recognized international spa qualification e.g. CIDESCO, ITEC or SAAHSPKey Responsibilities:Effective business partnering with stakeholders, management and associatesGood leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.Computer literate in all MS office applications e.g. word, excel, power point.Knowledgeable in spa booking softwareGood planning and organizing skills to meet deadlinesEffective communication, problem solving, decision making and conflict management skillsGood administration skills - payroll input, staff rostering, inventory control, ordering, trainingAbility to work within a pressurized environmentAbility to use Initiative and be proactive and self-drivenExperience in IR management and disciplinary processes advantageousAbility to work without supervision and within a teamAttention to detail pertaining to area of responsibilityMaintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per company standardsAssist the Spa Manager by ensuring the highest standards of service in the Spa is maintained and developed at all timesAssist in marketing of the spa and revenue generationEffectively co-ordinate and supervise the operations of the Spa as deemed necessaryAddress and resolve both guest and staff concerns.Assist with the Management of the Spa associatesWork in accordance to the internal and external control proceduresAssist with Stock takeIssuing out Stock to therapist on a daily and weekly basisMaintain duty rostersPlace daily orders e.g. fruit, guest amenitiesAssist at the Reception Desk and perform treatments from time to timeTaking Group bookingsChecking treatments rooms during the day and end of shiftFollow up on Maintenance issuesEnsuring that staff follow the correct policies and procedures of the SpaMarriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
