This is a permanent live-in position offering a unique opportunity to work in a stunning conservation setting.DescriptionOur client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Workshop Manager to oversee fleet maintenance, stock control, and workshop operations. The role involves managing vehicle services, equipment repairs, staff supervision, and administration, ensuring that the workshop operates at the highest standards. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, mechanical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fleet management, including vehicle inspections, services, and repairs
• Assist with workshop administration, stock control, and recharges
• Manage spares and stores, ensuring efficient stock ordering and inventory control
• Supervise workshop staff, oversee daily operations, and maintain health & safety standards
• Provide support in the absence of the Workshop Manager

Minimum Requirements

• 3 5 years of supervisory experience in a vehicle workshop
• Qualified Diesel or Petrol Mechanic, or at least 4+ years of relevant experience
• Valid unendorsed SA drivers license (essential)
• Welding and panel beating experience (advantageous)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High standards of workmanship and service delivery
• Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and lead a team effectively
• Passion for conservation and hospitality
• Permanent live-in position
• Transport to/from leave cycles is the candidates own responsibility
• Market-related salary
