Job Description
A prestigious firm is seeking an ambitious Associate Fund Principal to collaborate closely with the Fund Principal, driving strategic vision and leadership in property investments. This role involves managing, developing, and executing a dynamic pipeline of property transactions, ensuring alignment with approved objectives to enhance business unit revenue.Responsibilities:
- Pipeline management: Assist in overseeing the management of the deal pipeline, ensuring robust and proactive management of investment opportunities.
- Partnership development: Proactively identify and engage with investment partners to foster collaborative opportunities.
- Portfolio optimisation: Evaluate and enhance the value of the existing property portfolio through strategic feasibility assessments of sales and acquisitions.
- Transaction structuring: Lead the structuring of transactions, incorporating equity and debt components where applicable, to optimize financial outcomes.
- Strategic implementation: Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives, contributing to the production of compelling committee reports to advocate proposed deals.
- Risk and compliance: Uphold rigorous risk management and compliance standards throughout all stages of transaction execution.
- Stakeholder engagement
- Honours degree in Finance, Commerce, Real Estate, or a related field.
- CA (SA), CFA, or relevant MCom, MBA, or MSc in Real Estate would be advantageous.
- 6-8 years of substantial investment and deal experience within the property industry.
