Job Description
CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
- To teach Theories and Issues in Education at an undergraduate level
- To contribute to faculty administration as required
- Facilitate the learning, teaching, and assessment processes in the faculty.
- Participate in academic engagement.
- Participate in faculty administration.
- Engage in scholarly work.
- Facilitation of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Teach Theories of Education to undergraduate students.
- Have a sound knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
- Teach Theories of Education to a diverse cohort of undergraduate students.
- Should be able to develop curriculum.
- Engage in scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanization and Decolonization of the Theories of Education.
- A relevant Honours degree and an academic teaching qualification.
- A two-year experience of teaching at a university.
- Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Theories of and Issues in Education.
- Sound knowledge and experiences of different approaches and strategies for engaging students in Theories of and Issues in Education.
