Key Responsibilities
o Deliver high-quality teaching in molecular cell biology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
o Supervise postgraduate research students
o Maintain an active research program with a focus on cancer research
oRaise grant funding to support research and postgraduate training activities
oContribute to curriculum development and academic administration
oParticipate in departmental and institutional teaching and research, and all academic activities
oEngage in collaborative research initiatives
oAssist with relevant departmental administration around research, teaching and training.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
o PhD, with extensive knowledge and background in Molecular Biology or Cell Biology
o Proven track record of successful postgraduate student supervision to completion
o Established independent research program with evidence of sustained funding and publication output
o Strong record of university service and academic citizenship
o Expertise in molecular cell biology with demonstrated ability to teach at both undergraduate andpostgraduate levels
o Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
o Evidence of successful grant applications and research funding
o Experience in curriculum development and implementation
o Track record of successful postgraduate student supervision
o Evidence of innovative teaching methods and student engagement
o Evidence of knowledge of histological techniques and familiarity with extraction of DNA or RNA fromformalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue
o Evidence of cancer related research

o Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
