  • Lead and implement various Agriculture projects in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences.
  • Manage projects, oversee day-to-day operations and project execution and implementation.
  • Perform administrative duties, including logistical arrangements, budget auditing, and staff and student management.
  • Secure funding for future initiatives.
  • Facilitate institutionalization of various programs at the university through liaising with the University administration.
  • Support recruitment, placement, orientation, training, and management of other program staff and scholars at the university.
  • Ensure project specifications are met by resources (scaling up and out).
  • Undertake institutional transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient and timely integration and functionality of the working relationship between RUFORUM, the University, TVETs, other partner institutions, and other stakeholders participating in the program.
  • Participate in monthly program meetings.
  • Special focus will be placed on the RUFORUM Project: Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa's Growth and Development, Phase 2 (TAGDev 2.0).
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and present them to the program coordinator and the RUFORUM Secretariat.
  • Ensure timely completion of studies by beneficiary students - manage their learning progress.
  • Document and publish programme learning outcomes.
Inherent requirements:
  • Honours degree in Agricultural Sciences or closely related discipline on NQF Level 8.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant working experience relating to the duties and responsibilities.
Recommendations:
  • Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences or closely related discipline on NQF Level 9.
  • Proven experience in African Agriculture and securing funding for agricultural initiatives.
  • Proven written and communication skills.
  • Evidence of scholarship with internationally peer-reviewed journals in SCOPUS.
