In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in developing, testing, and maintaining software that powers our platform. You will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to high-quality code and robust testing practices. Your role will involve end-to-end testing, supporting QA with staging environments, fixing broken builds, and onboarding new team members. You will also participate in sprint planning and design sessions, ensuring a clear understanding of the business context behind your tasks. A proactive attitude, strong technical skills, and a desire to continuously learn and adapt will be key to your success in our fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your contributions will be vital in helping us achieve our departmental goals and delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.What You'll Do:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software for the platform.
  • Build meaningful unit, functional, and integration level tests for the software built.
  • Collaborate with a distributed team to fulfill the department's quarterly objectives.
  • Develop code both independently and while pair programming.
  • Write and maintain design, user, and test documentation.
  • Become familiar with technologies used on the squad.
  • Perform triage functionality through verification and fixing of bugs.
  • Build non-customer-facing code.
  • Support software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist QA with staging environments and fix broken builds.
  • Help with environment setup and onboarding of new members.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning and design sessions, questioning the business reason behind tasks to ensure understanding.
What You Have:
  • Completed B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in software development.
  • Practical experience in common design patterns and unit testing.
  • Exposure to CI and integration tests.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform, confident in using the console and building basic apps.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, table design, and SQL.
  • Desire to work with Java, Spring, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Agile/Iterative processes (Kanban/Scrum).
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, personal development, and team player attributes.
  • Open-source contributions are beneficial.
