Job Description

The purpose of this position is to plan the testing schedule and to conduct testing of samples submitted to the laboratory and reporting results as Technical Signatory to ensure that work is completed within required turnaround times and set quality standards.

General duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Outputs

Conduct simple and complex tests independently Perform troubleshooting Verify and interpret results Improve laboratory efficiency Ensure adherence to departmental turnaround times (TATs) Notify supervisor of potential delays in TAT

Instrument Monitoring and Maintenance

Oversee instrument operations and upkeep Clean and disinfect equipment Notify management of calibration and service needs

OHS and Quality Assurance

Follow OHS and Quality Assurance policies for analysis and tasks Implement corrective actions for TAT quality issues Maintain acceptable proficiency scores

Cost Management

Ensure correct stock levels for testing

Personal Development

Complete required training courses Request additional training as needed Foster good relationships with internal clients

General and Business Development

Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures Comply with AssureCloud's quality system, brand, and methodology Complete reporting and respond to team members promptly Track and report expenses within budget Utilize IT tools per company policy Ensure organized, coordinated daily operations Collaborate with AssureCloud team, accepting collective responsibility Support company values, integrity, and ethics Perform other duties as assigned


National Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Technology. 1-2 years' experience as a Veterinary Technologist will be an advantage. Must hold registration with SAVC. A valid Driver's Licence and own transport will be an advantage. * Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
