Inspiring meaningful connections through creative strategy, design, and digital and print media is our forte.We are a dynamic team of rebels and explorers on the lookout for a new Audio Engineer to join us on our mission to help brands stand out where it counts.OVERVIEWThe Audio Engineer handles all aspects of audio production, including in-store and broadcast adverts, video content, and music management, and other adhoc requirements when needed.Key duties involve sourcing and producing music and sound effects, managing audio and studio assets, and ensuring correct sound formats and naming conventions. The role also includes accurate production tracking, assisting with audio projects, staying current with industry trends, expanding audio capabilities, and maintaining studio equipment.WHAT YOUxe2x80x99LL BE DOINGAs an integral part of the companyxe2x80x99s operations, youxe2x80x99ll be responsible for:Record, edit and process voice over recordings for videos.Select, position, adjust, and operate the equipment used for recordings.Oversee voice over recordings, music, and sound effects on all videos.Create ad hoc sound design and music compositions.Direct voice over artists.Ensure the result meets the required quality expectation.Tagging of scheduled adverts on our in-house system.Ensure all adverts are in the correct format to play in-store.Tracking of actual time spent on recordings, editing and final mixes on all video productions.Scheduling of advertsSourcing, approval and purchasing of commercial music for music roll-outsEnsure the Studio is in working condition at all times.Ensure hardware maintenance and software upgrades take place.Ensure all assets are authorised / licensed.WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUTo be considered for this position, these are the skills wexe2x80x99re looking for:Matric/grade 12.Minimum 3 years of experience as an Audio Engineer in broadcast or similar environments.Diploma/degree in Audio Production or related qualification advantageous.Experience working with corporate and advertising agency clients and voice artists.In-depth understanding of recording, editing, mixing, final mixing and mastering.Proficiency in Pro ToolsYOUR QUALITIESActive listening skillsAdministration skillsAdaptabilityAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication skills - written and verbal (English and Afrikaans)Conceptualising, creative thinking, and innovation skillsCustomer service drivenDeadline drivenHandle criticism and pressure wellShow initiativeInterpersonal skillsTime-management and multi-taskingBe proactive and self-motivatedProblem-solving abilitiesProfessionalismQuality controlWork independently and as part of a teamTechnical ability, dexterity, and agility in our software and hardware systemsFor more information regarding the Company, please visit our website: http://www.zapop.com/company/about-zapop/To apply, please send your updated CV and a cover letter to people@zapop.com with the subject line reading xe2x80x98Audio Engineerxe2x80x99.Kindly note: if you have not heard back from us within 2 weeks, your application was unfortunately not successful.Job Type: Full-time
