Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD for steel walkways, trench covers, handrails, balustrades, stair treads, and other structural components.
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Interpret and incorporate design feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.
Produce accurate and clear fabrication and assembly drawings.
Modify designs based on site measurements, material specifications, and client requirements.
Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates for steel fabrication projects.
Collaborate with the engineering team to review and refine project designs for manufacturability and installation.
Work with fabricators and site teams to resolve any issues related to design or installation.
Maintain and organize design documentation and ensure all revisions are updated.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
Minimum requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in steel-related design.
Proven experience in drafting steel structures such as walkways, grating, balustrades, handrails, trench covers, stair treads, and mini mesh.
Strong understanding of fabrication and construction processes, particularly for steel components.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot design challenges.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Experience: 5 years in a similar role (preferably in steel structure design).
Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit) is a plus.
Knowledge of 3D modeling is an advantage.
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
Relevant certifications in AutoCAD are highly desirable.
