Purpose of the job:The role involves managing the delivery of Automation Services and projects by collaborating with internal departments, vendors, and customers to define and set SLAs for both BAU and rollout projects. Responsibilities include overseeing financial management, ensuring process documentation, and providing weekly reports to stakeholders and business partnersWho You Are:You can analyze complex processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop effective automation solutions.Your meticulous attention to detail ensures accurate implementation of automation processes and effective troubleshooting.You possess strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions.You can manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.You have effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, document processes, and present findings.You are a team player with strong collaboration skills, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and vendors.What You'll have done before:Baseline:

  • NQF Level 6 (Degree in Computer Science/ Management/ Information Systems, IT, or equivalent) or relevant certification
  • Project Management experience
  • Proven Negotiations Skills
  • Retail Business Acumen
  • Minimum 4 years' project experience in management of Automation systems and infrastructure
  • Understanding of Customer Relationship Management practices.
  • Understanding of IT Integration
  • Retail / FMCG
Advantageous:
  • Project management qualification
  • Familiarity with application and workload dependencies, architecture, and service level requirements
  • Experience with applying IT Service Management processes such as ITIL
  • Knowledge of technical reference architectures
  • Understanding of IT Governance Processes
  • Knowledge of automation and forecourt solutions environment.

What you'll be doing:SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION & SUPPORT
  • Support, and maintain Automation related projects for (forecourt, homebase, store, CX, payment and card solutions, Convenience and mobile) software, infrastructure, and business solutions.
ASSET MANAGEMENT
  • To ensure that assets are properly supported, secured, maintained and value is derived from their use.
PLATFORM, SECURITY & RISK MANAGEMENTSecure Engen's data and operating environment by:
  • Complying with approved security standards.
  • Providing input to and applying system security strategies, policies, and procedures.
To minimise risk to Engen's processes and data.STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENTBuild and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including divisional representatives, end customers (B2B and B2C) and IT stakeholders by establishing regular interaction points and collaborative approaches to improve customer experience at all levels.DEMAND AND SERVICE MANAGEMENTSupport the Automation Service Delivery Manager in managing demands, requests, incidents, problems, and other events logged and / or raised by dealers and customers for projects.ANALYSIS & REPORTINGManaging the monitoring, analysis and reporting of CX and forecourt services and resources by:
  • Proactively monitoring and reporting projects performance against SLAs,
  • Identification, monitoring and tracking multiple performance measures,
  • Providing regular reporting on automation and project performance to IT and Business,
  • Tracking resource metrics, reviewing projects, and correlating monthly reports,
  • Monitoring adherence and tracking of emergency authorisations of urgent project requests,
  • Monitoring service deployments, service expectations, usage, and capacity,
