Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional and passionate engineer to join their dynamic Automation team. Successful candidates will form part of an automation group specialising in simulation and control of aircraft automation systems, including guidance, navigation and control systems.1. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following but is not limited to:1.1.
Formal design, development, implementation and verification of systems, subsystems and associated control systems, simulation models, electronics, embedded software / firmware and mechanics. As a Development Engineer, the focus will be on understanding and providing inputs towards high-level design architectures and interfaces and the low-level detailed design, implementation and verification thereof.
1.2.
Playing a major role in the generation of outputs for projects, including design, testing, documentation, production and verification artefacts;
1.3.
Implementation of system engineering processes, plans and policies as applicable to a specific project; and
1.4.
Performing minor support roles within the company, as required.2. REQUIREMENTS:
2.1. Minimum Qualifications:
2.1.1. Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (BSc Eng / BEng).
2.2. Required Skills and Experience:
2.2.1. 2 to 3 years of relevant industry or post graduate experience;
2.2.2. Modelling and simulation of discrete and continuous systems; and
2.2.3. Proficiency in MATLAB & Simulink.
2.3. Recommended Skills and Experience:
2.3.1. Experience with control system design for safety-critical systems;
2.3.2. Knowledge of basic aircraft flight dynamics (fixed- and rotary-wing);
2.3.3. Background in Model-Based Design;
