Job Description

Duties include

• Oversee and track labor sales and workshop profitability, ensuring effective workshop planning at all times
• Schedule workshop production based on staff availability and productivity
• Address escalated technical issues in the workshop as they arise
• Inspect all serviced vehicles and assist with parts ordering
• Maintain excellent housekeeping within the department
• Oversee the training of all service staff
• Provide feedback to workshop staff on individual performance relative to targets
• Monitor work in progress (WIP) on all vehicles in the workshop daily to maintain acceptable levels
• Manage financial and non-financial risks within the department
• Promote and drive personal and professional development
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Keep the workshop clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored

Requirements:

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
• Technician Qualification Red Seal
• Volume brand experience (Toyota, Volkswagen/Audi, Ford, Suzuki)
• A minimum of 2 years recent as a Workshop foreman with proven experience in a dealership is essential
• The aptitude and competency to manage a team effectively

• Following Instructions & Procedures
• Coping with Pressure & Setbacks
• Valid drivers license
• Clear Criminal Record
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
• Autoline or similar knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Proactive and results-driven
• Strong organizational abilities and self-management
• Reside in the Randburg area a bonus
