Our client is looking for an energetic Backend Developer with a Java focus to be part of the FleetData Feature Team. The product is used by international fleet management companies and is poised for even greater impact!What Youll Do:

• Backend development with Java 11+ using Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems for a data-driven product focused on fleet management.
• Collaborate with an international team and coordinate with QA, BAs, and other stakeholders.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and contribute to platform design, development, and maintenance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 6 months of Java development experience (OCA preferred, OCP a plus).

Essential Skills:

• Java 11+ with Object-Oriented programming experience.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with AWS technologies: SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Lambda, Aurora RDS, EKS, DynamoDB, Cognito, API Gateway, ElastiCache.
• Strong SQL skills, PostgreSQL preferred.
• Git / GitHub version control.
• Experience with Helm, YAML, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps.
• Ability to design and implement RESTful endpoints.
• Familiarity with Typescript/JavaScript, WSL/Unix.

Advantageous Skills:

• JEE or Microprofile (Quarkus preferred).
• Experience with Terraform, Gradle, and Grafana/Prometheus.
• Knowledge of networking in an AWS context, including subnets, firewalls, DNS, proxies.
• Exposure to TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development).
• Atlassian Jira/Confluence for agile project management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong team player with ownership and responsibility.
• Problem-solving mindset and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.
• Open to travel internationally and work in diverse cultural environments.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

ROLE:

• Backend software development and code review.
• Ensure software is secure, maintainable, and adheres to governance policies.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment and contribute to operational incidents on occasion.
• Produce and maintain software design and documentation.
• Train and mentor team members when required.
