While not mandatory, a relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field would be a strong asset.
Language Skills: English, Afrikaans and an African Language would be beneficial.

Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively conveying information and resolving issues with clarity and diplomacy. Ability to use Google Documents and Excel highly advantageous.
Administrative Expertise: Show strong administrative skills with a talent for maintaining accurate records and adapting to diverse tasks and basic computer skills.
Multitasking & Prioritization: Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently, prioritising responsibilities while maintaining focus on deadlines.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Coordination: Lead the coordination of operations at the farm and Lodges back-of-house, ensuring all departments function cohesively.
Team Management: Oversee day-to-day activities, providing leadership and direction to a small team responsible for various back-of-house tasks.
Housekeeping: Manage the cleaning team rota, ensuring it efficiently meets weekly demands. Additionally, guarantee the smooth operation of the lodges laundry and linen services.
Sustainability: Oversee the waste and recycling management system, implementing and maintaining sustainable practices.
Canteen Management: Coordinate and optimise the canteen system, collaborating with the Head Chef on the weekly food shopping needs.
HR Support: Assist department heads with HR matters, including contract administration, employee on-boarding and off-boarding, and coordinating disciplinary processes, if necessary.
Visitor Management: Manage and coordinate incoming visitors to the Farm and lodge, such as external consultants and contractors.
Accommodation Oversight: Oversee worker accommodation usage at the Farm and lodge.
Maintenance Liaison: Liaise with local service providers like plumbers and electricians to address maintenance issues efficiently.
Delivery Management: Oversee deliveries across all business areas, ensuring proper recording and communication with department heads.
