Role PurposeThe purpose of the Back-office Manager: International role is to accept accountability in the back-office for all daily operations related to the business international products and services. Furthermore, the role will be tasked with the effective management of daily international operations and will need to ensure such duties are carried out efficiently.
RequirementsQualifications:

  • Matric
  • B-com Degree
Experience:
  • Minimum 5-8 years operational experience in a stockbroking environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years offshore operational experience
  • Minimum 3-5 experience working with BDA and eCube
  • Sound knowledge of Stockbroking and offshore investment operational practices
  • Experience managing a team of technical specialists
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDaily back-office operationsDaily operations management of back-office processes, resources and procedures including:
  • Ensure effective payment Processing / Operations functions
  • Run all the back-office reports for offshore and verify final reporting
  • Managing relationships with international counterparties to ensure smooth processing
  • Processing forex trading and settlements
  • Assists with client escalations, complaints, and queries
Payment reconciliation
  • Assisting the Back-office Manager with effective control and management of the daily reconciliations of all payment streams
  • Oversees the offshore reconciliation process
  • Assist with the onshore reconciliation process
Securities
  • Managing all offshore scrip requirements, including appropriate controls over SETEX settlement
Client account Maintenance
  • Managing processes for the effective transmission to and acceptance of mandates by offshore counterparts.
Assisting Back Office Manager
  • Assisting with Back-office Manager responsibilities during absence or times of greater activity volume.
