Purpose of role:With a primary focus on providing exceptional customer service, Banking Clerks assist customers with various banking transactions, inquiries, and account maintenance tasks.Their responsibilities encompass accurately processing transactions, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. By actively engaging with customers, Banking Clerks play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and promoting the bank's products and services. Additionally, their support in administrative tasks and operational functions contributes to the overall smooth functioning of the branch. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Accurate daily bank reconciliations for ancillary bank accounts
• Communicate expected delays and reasons therefor to relevant parties
• Perform verifications for new beneficiaries to be loaded on the banking platform
• Update Excel Bank Statements on the shared drive.
• Ensure payments loaded are supported by a valid tax invoice, remittance, recon and/or a statement.
• POP's to be saved daily after payments have been made.
• Receipting of incoming funds.

Required Qualification and Experience:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics/Accounting and other commercial subjects
• Desired Qualification - Diploma in Accounting or B.Com Accounting/Finance
• Relevant experience in the Banking Sector and on Banking Platforms
• Understand Financial processes
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Basic Accounting
