We are currently recruiting for a Banksman for a mine based in Brits (North West).Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• Onsetters/Banksman Certificate.
• 3 years experience as an Onsetter and 2 years as a Banksman.
• First Aid Certificate.
• A valid SA drivers license and own reliable transport.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible to coordinate, controlling, and supervising all operators of shaft conveyances, skips, material, equipment, associated systems, and shift being raised or lowered safely underground.
• Reporting of all incidents and / or near incidents.
• Adhere to working schedules, including overtime, standby.
• Without limiting the responsibility/obligation of all employees to always comply with all applicable laws, particular attention should be given to the following with respect to the Minerals Act and Regulations.
• Adherence to all Mine Health and Safety Act policies and procedures.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff.
• Communicate with relevant Banksman Assistants and line management.
• Ability to work as a team member and follow written and verbal instructions.
• The incumbent should be a disciplined and responsible person.
