The Barista is responsible for the quality of all caffe made in store according to the standards set by vida e caffe.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning
Front of house:
Surfaces and counters
Chemical management
Equipment:
Coffee machine - general
Coffee machine - daily backwashing
Port filters and steam wands
Grinders and brushes
Tamp and knock box
Milk jugs and thermometers
Deep cleaning equipment and tools
Maintaining
Front of house:
Condiments station
Sending area:
Stock rotation procedures
Packaging top-up and organising
Variables/parameters on caffe production
Conducting and completing
Checklists:
Opening and closing
Espresso machine cleaning and backwashing
Daily/weekly deep clean
Preparing caffe:
All caffe products
Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
Assisting customers' on caffe selection
Contributing and monitoring:
Communicating using company jargon
Barista calls duty instructions for Meza
Assisting both the Meza and Food Specialist on all duties
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
Can communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues and customers
Must be able be flexible and multitask to work in high pressured environment
Must be willing to work overtime when operationally required
Take pride in personal appearance and hygiene
Good understanding of basic customer service and hospitality principles
Must be able to perform independently, as well as excel as part of a team
Be driven and willing learn and grow
Be passionate and self-motivated individual, with a love for coffee
Must be willing and able to openly interact with customers
