Job Description
Our client a small accounting practice is looking for a bright BCom Graduate / Junior Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to join their team in the Northcliff area, West rand.Loyalty and commitment is very important to this client. Looking for someone who would like a long term opportunity and the opportunity to grow within the business.In order to be considered the following is required:If you are a graduate, you will be trained up in the following.
You do not require experience in the below.
- Proven bookkeeping experience up to trial balance
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Client facing
- Solid understanding of VAT (Vatable/non-vatable supplies, calculating VAT, Processing, and capturing transactions involving VAT)
- Reconciling Bank Statements, Customers and Suppliers for various clients
- Adapting quickly between the nature of business of each client and the way each client is processed
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Studying towards a bookkeeping diploma or degree will be beneficial.
- Pastel partner (proficient xe2x80x93 at least a year+ experience)
- Pastel payroll
- SAP (not necessary but an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- SARS submissions (not necessary but an advantage)
