This role aims to improve the flows into the company portfolios, amongst advisors who have both a primary & secondary relationship with external platforms by positioning the company as the 'go to' investment option for their clients.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to increase net inflows amongst independent financial advisors (large, mid-tier & small) writing on external platforms;
  • You will be required to have a strong existing network of IFA's, fund of funds, private wealth & tied agency brokers;
  • You will be required to build strong relationships amongst IFA's, fund of funds, private wealth & tied agency brokers by creating the right level of activity;
  • You will be required to implement the external platform sales strategy for the company;
  • You will be required to be a friendly, highly skilled, client service representative who will make the clients feel valued and supported;
  • You will be required to achieve the exceptionally high service levels of the company and to ensure positive client relationships are maintained and built;
  • You will be responsible for client onboarding and ensuring all client queries are managed effectively;
  • You will be responsible for ensuring a positive and professional client service experience;
  • You will be responsible for providing exceptional client service across carious channels such as phone, email, online, and in-person;
  • You will be responsible for providing clients with technical assistance on the products;
  • You will be responsible for ensuring urgent matters are escalated for prompt resolution;
  • You will be responsible for proactively following up and assisting clients in obtaining outstanding information;
  • You will be responsible, where applicable, for assisting clients with the completion of forms and obtaining any other relevant information;
  • You will be responsible for undertaking client due diligence checks and determining the nature and level of due diligence required to comply with anti-money laundering regulations;
  • You will be responsible for validating KYC documentation;
  • You will be required to follow up on onboarding progress with administrators.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have a minimum of 10 years experience in asset management industry. Seniority also implies you are comfortable sitting in front of a R10billion IFA or investment team able to chat around their business and engage in two-way conversation;
  • You are able to understand asset management products and services. DFM knowledge or working with DFM's (if you are currently at a single asset manager);
  • You have a network of IFA's - this would be a huge plus - so you can hit the ground running. If you don't have network, then would be able to demonstrate your ability to sell the business to IFA's, are strong on your feet with huge energy and enthusiasm.
  • You have a B.Com /
(finance / commerce) at an honours level provided that you are technically sound in all aspects of retail asset management sales & marketing); * You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant sales experience in the asset management industry;
  • You have industry related experience, with particular focus on the technical positioning and selling of local & offshore model portfolios and unit trust funds;
  • You have a strong network of IFA's, fund of funds, private wealth & tied brokers;
  • You have extensive technical and / or business experience with a proven track record of innovation, delivery and performance;
  • You have a relevant business degree and / or job-related experience;
  • You have a solid grasp of anti-money laundering regulations;
  • You have an understanding of the AML requirements for a wide range of client types such as individuals, trusts, charities and corporate entities.
