Beautician / Nail Technician
Job Description
Leading beauty salon based in Bellville in need of passionate Beauty & Nail Technician that is strong and confident in their skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2- 3 years' experience from this industry.
You will be responsible for the following:
Acrylic overlay (French & natural)
Acrylic sculpture (French & natural)
Gel / Gellsih Overlay
Acrylic Tips
Nail Art
Manicures & Pedicures
Remove previously applied polish
Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
Sterilize equipment before use
Inform clients about additional services and offers (e.g., loyalty discounts, eyebrow waxing)
Give hand and foot massages
Full body waxing
Swedish or holistic full body massage
Sports Massage
Reflexology
Medical Pedicures
Lash Lifts
Brow Lamination
Lash Extebsuibs
Brow & Lash Tinting
Eyebrow Shaping
Facials (Express, hydrating & deep cleanse)
Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g., how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
Provide customers with a high standard of nail care and nail painting techniques
Take an interest in customers
Manage stock levels according to company procedures - report on short, damaged and expired stock
Ensure new customers complete customer cards
Ensure monthly treatment and product targets are met
Complete and submit accurate monthly reports
Report on customer compliments and complaints
Education:
Qualified Nail technician (Qualified Beauty Diploma / Certificate)
At least 2 - 3 years' technical experience in a professional beauty/nail salon environment
Contactable references
Portfolio of nails
Have worked with Fresha or My Appointment App or similar booking system
Have reliable transport
Basic salary on offer + earning of commission.

Well-groomed to present the brand
Strong verbal and written communication
Must be willing to work with an e-file
Ability to cross & upskill
Must be willing to work late hours I and wen required during high season
Great retail track record is essential for this position
Exceptional nail skills and techniques required as well as expert timing in doing specialised nail techniques
Sterilisation and Hygiene need to be extremely good
Must be a team player - and able to provide excellent customer service
