JOB SUMMARY

The Compensation & Benefits Consultant is a part-time role that is responsible for planning and coordinating the company's compensation plans and benefit packages. You will work closely with the Human Resources Group to review and update existing benefit and compensation-related policies and ensure these comply with current legislation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Salary Analysis: Conducting research and analysis of salary data to ensure competitive compensation packages for employees.
  • Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs, which may include health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Compensation Planning: Developing and implementing compensation strategies and structures to attract and retain talent.
  • Salary Surveys: Participating in salary surveys to benchmark the organization's compensation practices against industry standards.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Job Evaluations: Conducting job evaluations and creating job descriptions to determine appropriate compensation levels.
  • Performance Reviews: Collaborating with HR and management to integrate compensation with performance review processes.
  • Market Research: Staying informed about market trends and industry best practices in compensation and benefits.
  • Employee Communication: Communicating changes in compensation and benefits to employees and assisting with their inquiries.
  • Payroll Coordination: Coordinating with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation-related matters.
  • Budgeting: Assisting in budgeting and forecasting for compensation and benefits expenses.
  • Benefit Enrollment: Overseeing benefit enrollment periods and assisting employees with benefit choices.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing compensation and benefits data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of compensation and benefits information for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Policy Development: Developing and updating compensation and benefits policies and procedures.
  • Negotiations: Participating in negotiations with labor unions or employee representatives regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring that compensation and benefits practices comply with relevant local laws
  • Employee Education: Conducting training sessions or workshops for employees to help them understand their compensation and benefits packages.
  • Performance Metrics: Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving compensation and benefits programs to align with organizational goals and employee needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
