The purpose of the Business Analyst role is to analyse our existing business practices and identify opportunities for improvement as well as bi-annual review of master routing schedules. The intention is to drive efficiencies to make the business more competitive in the market.The Key Functional Responsibilities:The Key Functional Responsibilities of the Business Analyst includes but is not limited to:1. Analyse and document business processes.2. Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements.3. Take input from other parties and appropriately and accurately applies comments and feedback. Interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.4. Analyse how various issues affect each other and the outcome of the project.5. Conduct a business analysis and a workflow analysis to access difficulties in reaching goals and to determine a better strategy. Carry out accurate model building for new potential business and bi annual review of current clients master routing schedules.6. Understand project standards and apply them consistently.7. Manage the project team where required.8. Define test conditions and parameter of a proposed solution or simulation model.9. Develop an accurate and complete test plan.10. Identify and document system deficiencies and recommend solutions.11. Recommend on process improvements.12. Develop an action plan and review improvement initiatives.13. Improve upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current practices into fresh alternative solutions.14. Continuous self-learning as required to keep up to date with industry trends.15. Collaborate, communicate, organize, listen, investigate, and facilitate improvements in the Company''s processes coming up with innovative solutions to any problems that may be apparent.16. Report weekly on areas of analysis, where required necessary dashboards to be developed.17. Audit process compliance.18. Prepare graphs, charts and analyse documents which changes should be taken by the Company and why.19. Prepare weekly reports showing progress against our understanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.20. Ensure maximum warehouse utilization.21. Ensure maximum transport utilization.22. Pallet control.23. Inventory levels.24. Statistics or business process modelling knowledge would be an advantage.25. Working capital requirements.Experience Required:Grade 12 with mathematics and compulsory Degree in Industrial Engineering or Information Technology2-3 Years Business Analytical ServicesUnderstanding of Data architecture and integration.Qlick or PowerBI programming knowledge advantageousOPSI/ PLATO experienceDegree in Industrial Engineering Supply Chain or Information TechnologyExperience routing of deliveries preferably using OPSI/PLATO.Experience using PowerBI and basic knowledge to build PowerBI models and dashboards.Basic level of SQL programming or understanding will be beneficial.Computer Literacy Required:MS Office intermediate to advances skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)Statistics / business process modelling (advantageous)Great PlainsPlatoTMS software routingProject Planning:PoweBIMicrosoft Projects
