You will be responsible for managing the requests for tender documents, acting as a subject matter expert when discussing the approach to the tender response and working side by side with the various specialists in the relevant teams, as well as writing tender responses for submission.You will work closely with The Head of Strategy and the Partnerships Team In analysing the requirements and specifications for a bid, while accurately ensuring compliance. You must be highly skilled in tender preparation, market and product research, and hold strong corporate writing skills, as well as producing high quality visuals, presentations and documents.RESPONSIBILITIESSupporting the Partnerships team in Identifying opportunities for bid submissions and raising with relevant stakeholdersDevelop proposal templates and responses for complex proposal requests and build an internal libraryManage the bid / response processDevelop presentation packages and briefing documentationLead and / or participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies for proposal and presentation developmentAnalyse pertinent industry literature, drafts bid proposal copy and verify documentationInterview technical subject matter experts to extract the right information for bid responsesREQUIREMENTSMinimum:At least 2 years of experience writing bid proposals in the private or public sector.A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR or related discipline.Proven ability to effectively manage a high volume of commercial tenders to varying timescales.Strong knowledge of bid writing principles and ability to translate for a wide range of subject matters.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly present a business rationale.High attention to detail coupled with high standards.Ability to multitask with research projects, data analysis and coordination with the executive team.Preferred:At least 2 years of prior experience in a high growth company or tech startup.Experience as a Bid Writer in the education / education technology industry.Experience winning significant bids and government tenders for education projects in the UK and abroad.A track record of winning proposals within highly competitive markets.1-3 years corporate strategic and technical writing experience.BENEFITSFlexible & remote working: We are a remote-friendly organisation and offer flexible work options.Generous annual leave: We provide up to 20 annual leave days as part of our leave policy.Learn new tech skills: We offer our employees the opportunity to enrol part-time in our Coding Bootcamps.Join the heart of tech in Africa, Europe and the US: You'll work with the best of the best and rub shoulders with the world leaders in edtech, developer education, and developer assessments.
