Our client in Sandton is looking for a Senior Remuneration Manager with more than 10 years Payroll Management experience of which 3 years must have been in a Managerial Payroll role and at least 3 years in payroll system / implementation / interface role - Subject matter expert for payroll, payroll system, payroll taxes and complex payroll processing.
Salary + Car Allowance + Fuel Allowance + Provident Fund + Medical Aid
Minimum requirements
Must be / must have been a Remuneration Manager (Not Supervisor or Administrator)
Proven track record and experience in payroll implementation and interfaces to other applications essential
Payroll programming skills will be a huge advantage
Extensive experience in monthly and weekly payrolls
Solid financial and accounting acumen
Managing and leading payroll team
All candidates will be accessed / tested
Tertiary qualification and / or relevant payroll qualification
Extensive knowledge / hands on experience of Payroll and Time and Attendance systems (Unique / Payspace payroll experience at parameter level is a prerequisite - MUST)
Advanced Payroll tax knowledge and experience
In-depth knowledge of Labour Laws (LRA, BCEA, COIDA, OSHA, POP, INCOME TAX ACT, Wage Determination Act, Bargaining Council Agreements and Payroll best practice
Regular monitoring and assessment / audit of payroll systems / rules / calculations and application of legislation
Implementation of remuneration policy, philosophy and practices
Payroll reviews and accuracy of input and payments
End-of-month, end-of-year, end-of-tax year payroll financial, reporting, provisions and reconciliations
Compile and manage departmental budget and monitor against actuals
