We are now looking for a Boiler Assistant to be based in Mossel Bay.Boiler Assistant will operate Boilers, Air compressors and Ammonia plant to provide steam compressed air and chilled water for optimum operation of the manufacturing and filling operations of the factory. To observe the existing safety instructions in relation to the operation of the above equipment and as may be advised from time to time.A day in the life of a Boiler Assistant:

• Attend to shift hand over meeting.
• Check trough Boiler water level.
• Monitor ash chute for ash blockages.
• Perform water treatment analysis.
• Clean Air filters.
• Clean HFO Filters.
• De-Ash Boilers.
• Monitoring Coal level and clean of silo room.
• Cleaning of Combustion on Boilers and Air heaters.
• Soot blow Air heater Elements.
• Record daily water usage.
• Clean Boiler house, Compressor room, HFO Room, Ammonia Plant and Fire pump house and general Is areas.
• Clean boiler house drainage.
• 5S of the boiler house.

What will make you successful

• Matric with Maths
