Job Description
Our client, a national manufacturing company, currently seeks the services of a Qualified Boilermaker, to assist with fabrication/welding repairs on trollies, racking, waterjet nests, mechanical components, for the next 2 months.Minimum Job Requirements:
- Matric.
- Boilermaker Trade Test essential.
- Min 5 years experience as a Boilermaker essential.
Report to the Maintenance Manager:Preventative Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance, Inspection & Reporting:
- Manufacturing & general repairs to plant equipment (dunnage, trollies, racking).
- Continuous improvements in plant.
- Ensure job cards are completed on Maintenance Connection.
- Report safety hazards.
- Assist with projects and improvements on plant equipment.
- Stop production process if major issues occur and report issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with the General Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act No.85 of 1993.
- Conduct safety inspections as per the roster.
- Ensure work is conducted in compliance with the OHS General safety Regulations.
- Comply with the company SHE procedures and rules.
- Report any identified unsafe conditions or unsafe acts to the Maintenance Foreman.
