Boilermaker (underground)

We are currently recruiting for a Boilermaker (Underground) for a mine based in Brits (North West).Desired Experience & Qualification:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure that a good standard of safety awareness is maintained.
Ensure that section personnel comply with the required Health and Safety and Environmental standards.
Ensure good housekeeping standards and maintenance.
Daily, Weekly and Monthly inspections to be done.
Maintenance on all machinery underground.
Fabricate and install box fronts, grizzlies, shoots etc.
Assemble, install, and repair sections using plumb bobs, levels, wedges, and turnbuckles to ensure the section edges fit properly and bolt or weld them together. Attaches other necessary components, such as water tubes, valves, and gauges then test for leaks and weak spots.
Fabricates and alters special construction equipment; designs, lays out, repairs, or fabricates, with or without blueprints, a variety of metal work ranging from small items to construction equipment.
Cuts, fits, and welds metal, using gas and electric welding equipment; and does brazing and soldering.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
