Join Our Team as a Bookkeeper.
We are an International Group of Companies, with our Head Office in PE, seeking experienced, passionate, and value-driven individuals to join our specialised internal accounting firm. Our Finance, Compliance, Tax, Internal Audit, and Business Intelligence division oversees both national and international financial operations across multiple brands.
This role offers opportunities for career growth and specialisation in areas such as tax, IFRS group accounting, consolidations, and data analytics.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Financial Processing:
Process bank statements, petty cash transactions, purchase cards, and credit card transactions
Investigate purchase orders to ensure correct ledger allocations and project codes
Ensure correct authorisations for expenditure before updating supplier invoices
Reconciliations & Reporting:
Perform credit reconciliations and update payment requests
Diligently focus on VAT requirements and prepare VAT reconciliations
Assist with refund processes
Keep Fixed Asset registers up to date
Check foreign costing sheets for accuracy
General Finance Support:
Handle ad-hoc finance clerk processing tasks as needed
What We're Looking For:
Competencies:
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work with large volumes of data independently
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Sage Evolution and SARS e-filing experience (advantageous)
Time management and eagerness to learn
Experience in Group Accounting within a large enterprise (advantageous)
Education:
Matric (Grade 12) required
BCom degree in Finance/Accounting or SAIPA/SAICA articles (advantageous)
