Our client Outside Plettenberg Bay is looking for an exceptional Hotel Manager who is passionate about all aspects of hotel management. The ideal candidate is an experienced, professional and driven individual with excellent interpersonal and administrative skills.

Requirements:

A hospitality degree.

Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

At least five years of experience in the Hotel industry

Good experience in managing housekeeping teams and hotel room management

Knowledge of working in the 'Garden Route' area will count in your favour

Good understanding of management principles and proven industry experience of the hotel industry.

Excellent leadership skills, and the ability to assist in the motivation and development of a hotel service team.

Genuine desire to serve customers, with a strong sense of personal responsibility towards customer satisfaction.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Good conflict management and problem solving skills.

Integrity and honesty.

Proven project management skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

To manage the Hotel's overall day-to-day hotel operations.

Assist the Hotel's General Manager with the management of sales and marketing, housekeeping, reception (including all reception and concierge staff and operations, leisure, human resources, accounts and other aspects, as required.

Adhere to agreed budgets and maintain appropriate quality standards and records.

Manage quality control of all aspects, including hygiene and health and safety.

Meet your targets and those of the hotel as a whole.

Contribute to the training and development of the hotel team.

Comply with statutory obligations and agreed quality and best practice guidelines.

Train the hotel team to resolve customer queries with confidence.

Manage guest and surrounding area managers' expectations and handle and resolve all inquiries.
