Role PurposeManage the activities of advisors through effective people and branch management in order to foster client centricity, increased productivity and enable operational sales excellence.
RequirementsQualifications

  • Degree in Business Management and or equivalent relevant qualification
  • NQF level 5 qualification approved by FSCA or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Matric (grade 12) certificate
  • FAIS Representative Regulatory Exam Level 5 passed
  • 120 credit FAIS recognised qualification
Experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a sales environment as a Financial Advisor and or equivalent relevant role (essential)
  • 2 - 3 years experience for the rendering of financial advice, as per the FSCA Fit & proper requirements (essential)
  • A minimum of 2 years managerial experience overseeing the rendering of financial advice (essential)
  • Experience in FAIS Tier 1 long term insurance & pension benefit products (desirable)
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of financial services industry
  • Knowledge of relevant financial legislation
  • Relevant product and process knowledge
  • Knowledge of sales processes, techniques and cycle
Duties & ResponsibilitiesPROCESS
  • Develop sales plans and campaigns ensure the Branch meets and exceeds productivity, production and quality targets as determined.
  • Participate in tactical sales planning and implement the business plan for the branch as developed and agreed.
  • Review the business plan regularly and take the necessary steps to ensure that the set targets will be achieved.
  • Recruit, select and retain high quality advisors/consultants by ensuring an optimum mix of talent in each advisor category in order to build capability to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Ensure that sales support zones are optimised to appropriately manage poor performance and minimise staff turnover.
  • Support and guide employees through the decision making process by displaying exceptional product knowledge and customer centricity.
  • Induct, develop and support employees to meet and exceed performance and productivity standards in order to enable passionate and confident sales entrepreneurs.
  • Manage and monitor activities of employees through market allocation to ensure that each financial adviser/consultant has adequate and appropriate market access opportunities.
  • Ensure that segmentation insights, information and toolkits are used to enable employees to identify and reach target segment customers.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and ensure employees comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
  • Ensure technical product and legislative knowledge is always current in order to advise on the most relevant and innovative client solutions and comply with governance requirements.
  • Utilise Key Performance Indicators (i.e., scorecard), minimal acceptable standards and Branch index to monitor and manage financial performance.
  • Manage, monitor and complete the FAIS supervision of advisors requiring supervision.
  • Timeously complete all administrative and reporting duties, including sales and marketing data tracking, feedback and business cases related to the role within the agreed timeframes.
  • Manage the housekeeping and professional image of the Branch to ensure that high standards are maintained.
  • Check and approve the relevant documentation to support the sales process in line with business and risk management practices.
CLIENT
  • Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that clients receive appropriate advice and after sales service.
  • Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes.
  • Provide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service standards and in terms of overall client targets.
  • Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.

  • Manage, monitor and track the electronic computer equipment utilised by Financial Advisors and ensure the return of company assets.
  • Ensure that staff understand KPIs and remuneration model established by the company.
  • Implement and provide feedback on the effectiveness of financial policy, practice and procedures: preventing illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
  • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.
  • Investigate reported wilful acts of non-compliance to organisation policy and practice and report on findings.
