Position Title: Branch ManagerLocation: Gqeberha, South AfricaSalary: Market RelatedJob Summary: The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the Gqeberha branch. This includes managing the daily activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of packages, maintaining high customer service standards, and driving the overall performance of the branch.Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:

  • Oversee and manage all branch operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Ensure all deliveries are dispatched and delivered on time.
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of couriers, warehouse staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for staff.
Customer Service:
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any customer issues promptly.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements as necessary.
Financial Management:
  • Manage the branch budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Health and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as required.
Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase branch efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and service improvement.
Reporting:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on branch performance, including financial, operational, and customer service metrics.
  • Report any significant issues or risks to senior management.
Compliance:
  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the courier or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of managing a team and delivering operational improvements.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, distribution, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
